Our life has settled into a norm of:
worship services, bible studies, pastoral/ELCG and council meetings, confirmation classes, Luther League Youth — preparing weekly bulletins, ELCW ladies' meetings, and visiting the shut-ins. I think Jack's favourite is confirmation and visiting the shut-ins (they have such wonderful tales to tell!) Let us not forget the fun visits with friends...

This past week has been one of muggy HEAT!! little rain — this is supposed to be the 'rainy time'?! We have also experieced many 'black-out' hours with one day of NO water - our pumping system was down - thankfully the water was pumped into the cistern by evening and we were able to enjoy our bed-time refreshing shower.

We have had a problem with BEES since our arrival. Val was stung in the thigh last Sunday while talking on Sykpe to our youngest daughter Jacqueline! The redness is still there. On Friday p.m. the Dept. of Agriculture visited with a complaint by the back neighbours - they have bees from our hourse. African killer bees! The source is right over our bedroom in the corner behind the facia -board. Tomorrow, Monday - an exterminator is coming... armed to attack and get rid of them. We will close all windows up tight.


We have three new pets in our small inner yard...a mother cat and her two kittens. She moved them from behind the altar area in the church — they had spent their borning days in an old cupboard. So cute ...!

The Luther League met at 4 p.m. following Confirmation (watched the movie of Joseph) yesterday. Val joined the youth in 'tie-dying' squares of white cottown - FUN! She is coming home to pass on her new expertise. Cookies and Icee capped of the evening.

Sunday worship in one and a half hours - we are celebrating 'Ascension of Our Lord'.
